The China Clean Transportation Partnership (CCTP) is a non-governmental, non-profit and voluntary platform to foster communication, cooperation and joint research by top institutes and think tanks in clean transportation and related energy, climate, environment and sustainable development fields. The partnership was formed by leading institutions in China to promote innovations in clean transportation, with the core values of Independence, Professionalism, Sharing, and Inclusivity. The CCTP is committed to driving positive transformation in China’s transportation sector by integrating cross-sectoral, cross-industry, cross-institution, and cross-region resources, focusing on policy and technological innovations, and summarizing and disseminating lessons learned from China locally and nationally.

The CCTP connects top industry associations, policy research institutes, civil society, and business enterprises in the fields of transportation, energy, climate, environmental protection and the economy in order to break the information and communication barriers among different industries, sectors, agencies, and between central and local governments. The partnership’s top priority is to cap and then force GHG emissions to peak as soon as possible.

CCTP’s founding partners include The Energy Foundation China, China Academy of Transportation Sciences, Transport Planning and Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, Vehicle Emission Control Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, Tsinghua University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Society of Automotive Engineers of China, China Automotive Technology and Research Center, Beijing Transport Institute, Shanghai Electric Vehicle Public Data Collection, Monitoring and Research Center, Clean Air Asia, and the Innovation Center for Energy and Transportation.

In the coming years, CCTP will attract more influential members from industry associations, academic institutions, civil society and business enterprises. By integrating cross-sectoral and cross-industrial resources, CCTP aims to foster policy and technological innovations for a clean, low-carbon and efficient transportation future in China.
