What is the ALLY@org program?

「ALLY@org」

Compared with the individual allies, ALLY@org refers to organizations such as enterprises, companies, campuses, groups and NGOs in different cities of China that are friendly to sexual minorities and are willing to improve the social environment of sexual minorities through actions.

「Plan roadmap」

PFLAG China (as the initiator and sponsor of the plan) and the institutional allies jointly create action plans and promote the realization of goals and are mutually accountable to each other. Meanwhile, various institutional allies form circles to exchange ideas and learn from each other, face challenges and generate diversified values.

Introducing the initiator and sponsor

As a non-governmental community organization, PFLAG China was founded on June 28, 2008. In the past 12 years, it has been focusing on the self-identity of sexual minorities, family acceptance and community development. During that time, PFLAG China has positively influenced the media, enterprises and campuses as well as legal, psychology and other social sectors. Its visions and goals have expanded to focussing on creating an equal and dignified social environment for sexual minorities in other areas of life.

Today, PFLAG China has branches or groups in more than 70 cities, with more than 6000 registered volunteers, including more than 1000 parents.

In 2019, as a non-governmental community organization in China, PFLAG China won the title of Target Guardian of the Gates Foundation.

The goal guardian initiative, initiated by the Gates Foundation, aims to accelerate the global achievement of sustainable development goals (also known as global goals). We share the data and stories behind these goals through events and annual reports, hoping to inspire a new generation of leaders, that is, goal keepers, to help the public increase awareness of progress, call on leaders to take responsibility, and promote more people to take action to achieve these goals.
