China Climate Alert is a weekly flagship product of Greennovation Hub, which aims to provide timely, effective and free news, analysis and resources for opinion leaders and decision makers in climate and energy sectors. Climate Alert focuses on key moments in global and domestic climate governance, and practices of exploring low-carbon economies at home and abroad. Our timely reporting and analysis with a global outlook aims to create an indispensable information platform for climate and energy stakeholders, to generate discussions about climate action and energy transformation among a wider audience, and to promote the society to form concerted efforts to cope with climate change. Since its commencement in 2013, Greennovation Hub has published more than 200 issues of China Climate Alert.
Blue Pulse: Marine Conservation Bulletin is a Bi-week electronic newsletter on science, management and policy relating to marine biodiversity. This newsletter provides a timely and multi-disciplinary updates on marine conservation to inform a vivid domestic debate.
With the implementation of BRI and the deepening of international cooperation, increasing concerns regarding how the policies and activities of BRI can promote the Paris Agreement and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as how China plays the role of the participant, the contributor and the leader in this process, are coming from both China and overseas countries. In this context, sharing these issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner, bridging the information gap, will better help BRI's policy makers and practitioners to identify environmental, climate, and social risks. Starting from 2019, on the basis of focusing on the domestic green policy update under the background of BRI, we will extend the content to the discussion and analysis of China's participation in global governance by the international community, the media, and think tanks. We will also provide readers with more cutting-edge, time-sensitive information in a timely manner, in order to promote the policy communication and public discussion regarding BRI.
With the launch of“The Belt and Road”Initiative(BRI), it's important to examine how China plays its leadership to promote green development and low-carbon transformation for fair and effective global climate governance. With respect to sustainable development, our bi-monthly Mandarin publication focuses on ecological and environmental protection, climate change response, green finance innovation, energy transformation and the exchange and cooperation among civil societies. We also aim to promote discussion and information sharing on green development of BRI related countries and to form innovative, independent, high quality and practical researches and suggestions for China to improve its leadship in global green governance. An English summary of the six issues will be provided at the end of the year.
