China Automotive Technology & Research Center is the founding member of China clean transportation partnership (CCTP). In 2017, CATARC launched the country's first pure electric vehicle (PEV) evaluation brand. Based on consumer demand, EV-TEST faced up to the most concerned problems of consumers through independent and fair performance TEST and evaluation of PEVs. The EV-TEST objective evaluation system includes 14 indicators in five categories of "range, fuel consumption, charging, safety and power". Based on or higher than the performance evaluation requirements of national standards, star rating results are issued to promote the green, efficient and safe development of PEV. EV-TEST designed the evaluation system for conventional group (more than 4 meters length) and micro group (less than 4 meters length) separately.
ITDP (The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy) is a member of CCTP, ITDP has been committed to promoting sustainable urban transport development and green travel since founded for 35 years. In 2018, Pedestrian First- Tools for a walkable city was launched to provide planning and design basis for improving the urban pedestrian environment.
Pedestrians First is a reference book issued by ITDP to promote walkability for pedestrians around the world at multiple levels of urban planning and design. It is aimed at helping people better understand the importance of walking. Through collecting and analyzing a large amount of data and case studies, this book provides planners, designers, policy advocates and other relevant personnel with evaluation criteria and policy recommendations for understanding, promoting, and optimizing urban walkability.
